  Why read other people's reflections?

Shall I tell you a secret?

Despite making this website and wanting to help others. I couldn't actually read about any one else's journey before my surgery.

I felt like I didn't want to know the good or the bad.

In all honesty, I needed to feel like this was a bad thing to happen to me to be able to grieve what was about to happen so I couldn't take anything positive. Maybe that was maudlin, maybe I was just scared. Equally I probably could have done with being realistic!

So instead I just left it until afterwards, and then I searched like there was no tomorrow. Looking for people to measure myself against. I came across one chap. He'd had his some time before, but just to see in text the things I was feeling was amazing.

So I do urge you to take a look. Theres some hard bit's in these guy's reflections that may scare you about what's to come, but all of them are amazing people and have made amazing recoveries and have had such varied journeys. If you read them before, it may help you decide what you want to do, if you read them after a treatment then they can help to show you it does improve.

Don't forget I have a day to day blog for 6 years on the blog page showing all my experiences.
